The idea

Saving energy at home pays you back. SaveWave makes that payback help the next home too.

Act together, and everyone gets more

Sealing your windows on your own is good for you and for the planet. Doing it as a wave does more: each kit's savings help pay for the next kit, so one action keeps going. We call that a co-opportunity. It's like a room full of people with instruments deciding to play the same song: a pile of sound becomes music.

Start with one window-film kit

A window-film kit seals drafty windows for the winter. Kits are available for under $25; price and coverage vary, so a home may need more than one. In a cold, drafty home heated with oil, SaveWave's estimate says the film can recover its cost within a few heating weeks; yours depends on your windows, the weather, your price and the fit. Buy one yourself to start a wave, or get one from someone you know.

Set part of the savings aside

SaveWave estimates what your kit saves. You choose a share, 25, 50, 75 or 100%, to set aside in your Future Fund. It is virtual: SaveWave never holds, pools or moves your money, and your page shows when it could pass $25.

Pay $25 forward to someone you know

When your Future Fund passes $25, you pay $25 forward to a friend, neighbor or relative. Soon you'll both confirm the handoff in the app and see your ripple: the first names and towns your gift reaches. Paying forward doesn't end your own savings: while the film works, your home keeps using less heat, and the person you help can begin saving too. Waves grow only between people who know each other, so nobody has to let a stranger in.

How it could spread

Projection

Say 8 households start a wave with a kit. If 75% of the people who get a kit pass on 2 kits each, 3 rounds of paying forward reach about 12, 18, and 27 more households: about 65 households in all.

That is a projection under SaveWave's illustrative assumptions, not a promise. Model interim-artifact-2026-10 and projection-2026-10.
